A little Puchacz.....

Having now had a go at hang gliding, paragliding and microlighting, I imagined that gliding might be a bit tame. But how wrong I was! My instructor introduced me to my glider, the 'Puchacz', a slick machine with a wing span of nearly 17 metres, a maximum speed of 134m and aerobatic capability. We were aerotowed up to around 1000 feet before release and then whoosh....! Off we went. James, my instructor let me take control for most of the flight and we soared and swooped for a good half an hour before we decided it was time to let the next person have a go! The visibility was amazing, and flying over the Kent countryside was stunning.
